The School Day

The St Matthew's School day is from 8:50am until 3:15pm for all children (except part time Nursery children).

Please see below for the timings of our school day: 

Nursery                              

Morning 8:50am -11:50am
Afternoon 12.15pm -3.15pm
Full Time 8:50am - 3:15pm

 

Reception - Year 6

Morning 8.50am -12:00 / 12:15pm
Collective worship 9.00am 
Morning break 10.45am - 11.00am
Lunch 12:00/12:15pm - 1:00/1:15pm
Afternoon 1:00/1:15- 3.15pm

Parents are notified in advance of days where their child may require specific items ie their PE or swimming kit. 

It is important that we know who is collecting your child, therefore we ask that you always let us know if it is someone different as we cannot let children go with people who are strangers to us unless we have your permission.

We offer 'Wake Me Up' Breakfast Club and 'Stars' After School Club, which needs to be booked and paid for in advance using the Arbor Parent Portal or app. For more information, please contact the school office.

We aim to offer a variety of after-school activities each term. Parents/carers will need to provide electronic consent for each activity in advance. Please see our extra-curricular page for a sample of the range of activities on offer. Please note, our clubs timetable changes on a termly basis.

  • 02:15 PM - Thu 25 June Due to the current weather conditions and in line with our risk assessment, we have made the decision to postpone our Infant and Junior Sports Days on Friday 26th June. We will confirm new dates as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding.
  • 08:01 AM - Fri 19 June As part of our Enrichment Programme a group of children went to play a round of Footgolf - a fun time for everyone!
  • 08:25 AM - Fri 12 June A group of our children from across the school took part in this inclusive event where they played a special version of curling.  They showed great sportsmanship and displayed all of our school values - well done to all of them!
