Personal, Social, Health and Citizenship Education (PSHCE)
We are passionate about the development of children’s social and emotional skills, children’s self-esteem, their health and well-being. We are committed to developing the children’s responsibilities towards themselves, others in school, the local and global community.
By teaching PSHCE we are developing the self-awareness, positive self –esteem and confidence to enable children to:
- stay as healthy as possible
- keep themselves and others safe
- develop social skills
- have worthwhile and fulfilling relationships
- respect the differences between people
- develop independence and responsibility
- play an active role as members of a democratic society
- make the most of their own and others’ abilities
- manage their feelings
- develop their self-awareness
- create an environment where good learning takes place
