Year 4

The Year 4 Teachers are Mrs Fisher  (4B) and Mrs Garrard (4A)

Welcome to the Year 4 homepage. Here you will find some information about what makes the Year 4 teaching team so great, as well as information about the curriculum. If you have any other questions about your child's progress or how your child is getting on in school, please either catch us in the morning or afternoon if your question is brief, or speak to us about making a before or after-school (preferable) appointment.

Hello, I’m Mrs Fisher and I joined St Matthew’s in September 2014. My favourite subject is art and I enjoy weaving and drawing with my class. Outside of school I also love travelling, cooking and languages and am looking forward to sharing this within my lessons.

Hello, I am Mrs Charlesworth! I have been at St Matthew’s for 15 years and have been an HLTA for the last 6 years, specialising in social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. I love learning about Psychology. I am a Christian and believe that in my time here I have been serving the community. I love it when I give a child some extra help and then you see them understand and improve.

I am Mrs Framp and I work with the children in the classroom. I also do one to one work with children who need extra support, especially if English is not their first language. In my spare time, I like to read and go to the cinema with my family.

Hello, I'm Mrs Elphick and I have worked at St Matthew's for eleven years. I enjoy listening to and developing a love for reading with individual readers and supporting and encouraging children in their learning. Outside school I love spending time with my husband, children and grandchildren. We grow vegetables and keep chickens. I also love to read, knit and cook.

Hello, I'm Mrs Begum. I have been working at St Matthew's for five years. My role as teaching assistant is to support children in a group or one to one with their learning. I enjoy art and I'm delighted to know that both my children are talented in this subject.
