Year 6 - Residential to High Ashurst

Year 6 had an amazing time at High Ashurst! The residential trip gave everyone a chance to both enjoy time with their friends and develop new friendships. We learnt how important team work is and how we need to communicate effectively if we want to succeed when we work together. These are skills that we use in the classroom and this was a chance to see how those skills work in a different environment.

Everyone had a chance to practise their map reading skills (and build on what we had already learned at school) by completing an orienteering activity. As usual, the climbing, abseiling and archery were the most popular activities – even the teachers had a go!  Although everyone was very tired by the end of the week, every single person had challenged themselves and had succeeded in activities that they had never tried before.
