Year 2 watch London go up in flames

During year 2's Great Fire of London topic, pupils built model houses in Design Technology before going outside onto the school field to create the Great Fire of St Matthew's! Pupils have spent the half term learning how the Great Fire of 1666 started, how it was recorded in the diaries of Samuel Pepys and how it was eventually put out by the King's men. This was an exciting and memorable end to the project!

Special thanks go to Mr Mercer for helping the year two team organise a safe, yet fascinating, educational experience for all.
