Year 1 visit to St Matthew's Church

Year 1 enjoyed an exciting trip to St Matthew's Church on Monday afternoon. The children enjoyed listening to Father Andrew explain about the wide-ranging work of the church within the community and how it supports the people of Redhill. The visit enhanced  the work the children have been doing in school, learning about communities and our role and responsibilities in living and working alongside other people . The values of mutual respect and tolerance, liberty and democracy, justice, forgiveness, love and  understanding are important to us all here at St Matthew's School.

"Treat other people like you would like to be treated youself."

Year 1 would like to say a big thank you to Father Andrew and to all the parents who came with us. We look forward to visiting the church later in the year to learn about Baptism.
