Teachers get a soaking!

Year 6 ran their traditional Lent Appeal 20p fair on Thursday afternoon to raise money for the Bishop’s Lent Appeal.  The children organised the stalls themselves, devised their games, provided all the prizes and entertained the rest of the school for the afternoon with minimal input from their teachers. We saw a range of stalls such as “Guess the number of sweets”, “Penalty Shoot Out”, “Face Painting” and the unenviable “Feely boxes”.   Two of the most popular stalls were “Sponge the teacher” and “Sponge the Student”.  I wonder why?  Thank you to all our teachers and teaching assistants who “volunteered” for this event.

Year 6 would like to say a big thank you to all those who came to spend their money and support them.  I think everyone had a great time and lots of money has been raised.
