St Matthew's Choir - 2016 Primary Music Festival

The annual primary schools music festivals involve over 3000 children from 100 Surrey schools. St Matthew's School has participated in these wonderful concerts, held at the Dorking Halls, for many years - in fact some of our pupils' parents have their own great memories of performing at the concerts when they were at primary school!

Our choir sang extremely well at this year's festival, as part of a massed choir of 300 children, performing "The King With Cold Feet" by Alan Simmons. St Matthew's pupils' excellent behaviour, tuneful part-singing and concentration were praised by the conductor, Mr  Jones, and by others present at the  rehearsal and  performance . A highlight of the evening was when the large audience of parents, teachers, other family and friends joined the children in enthusiastic singing of some well-known songs.

At St Matthew's School, we strongly believe in the importance and benefits of providing a well-rounded curriculum including a rich range of musical and cultural opportunities for our children.
