Sign2Sing - Did we break a world record?

Yesterday our school (from Nursery to Year 6) took part in a national fundraising initiative called sign2sing. Sign2sing is run by SignHealth which is a healthcare charity for deaf children and adults. SignHealth offers a range of vital support services, many delivered on a one-

to-one basis in Bristish Sign Language (BSL).

During Collective Worship we learnt what it could be like to be deaf or hard of hearing. Then we jointly sang and signed the song 'Get Up and Sign'. We are still waiting to hear whether we have broken a world record, but with over 1000 schools taking part and 300 000 children, we really hope so!

During break time Year 3 held a cake sale to raise money for the charity. We had so many cakes that we continued the sale after school and throughout today too! We have raised a staggering £224!

Thank you for your support in baking and buying cakes; this money will really make a difference to SignHealth.
