Maths and Science at Southwark

On Wednesday, some of Year 3 were given the opportunity to demonstrate their amazing maths and science skills at Southwark Cathedral. The children were set a range of challenging tasks including measuring the height of the nave using a helium balloon and finding out how different types of weather affect the walls of the cathedral. As usual, the children took every opportunity to use their inquiring minds and enjoyed answering and asking some challenging questions. The beautiful sunny day meant that they were also able to enjoy a picnic lunch along by the River Thames.
