Could you be our new parent governor?

Today, every parent should have received, either by parentmail or in hard copy, information about an opportunity to become a parent governor here at St Matthew’s School. Please do read the information sent to you.

Being a parent governor gives you an interesting insight into school life and how schools operate. The governing board provides strategic leadership and accountability in schools. We are very appreciative of our school governors who voluntarily give of their skills and time to support our school and ensure the best for our children.

If you think you might be interested in contributing to our school in this way and would like more information please speak to Mrs Lightfoot or to our Chair of Governors Moira Astin who may be contacted via the school office.

Nominations must be submitted to Mr Cooper, School Business Manager, by midday on Friday 30 November 2018. Should there be more nominations than there are vacancies, a secret ballot will be held. Any parent/carer of a registered pupil attending the school may offer themselves for election.
