Bishop of Croydon visits St Matthew's

On Tuesday, the Bishop of Croydon, the Rt Revd Jonathan Clark, paid St Matthew's a visit during assembly. As part of a wider tour of the parish of St Matthew's, he spent time in St Matthew's Church in the centre of Redhill, before coming to school to talk to pupils and staff. Bringing his ceremonial hat and his crook, he spoke to the children about his own experiences, his joy at being part of confirmation services, as well as the role of a bishop in charge of nearly 150 churches.

Pupils presented the Bishop of Croydon with a book of prayers before he left; we look forward to welcoming him back in the near future.
